DESIGNER HANDBAG TRENDS 2018

If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably already know by now that I may have a slight handbag obsession.  I love them! All colors and sizes! I’ll take them all.  I’ve always believed that a good handbag is a great accessory for any outfit weather you’re dressed to go out or weather you’re wearing you’re best cute athleisure outfit (and of course don’t ever forget your cute sunnies to make the outfit just perf’)!

Of course, I have a weakness for designer handbags because who doesn’t? Yes, you do pay a bit more for a name brand than say a Zara handbag, but I also feel that they are made of such good material that they last a LONG time! They’re so gorgeous and they make you happy! At least that has been my experience.

LOUIS VUITTON

First up, Louis Vuitton! I feel that Louis Vuitton should be everyone’s first designer handbag. That should be like a rule, hahahaha! There should be like a “Designer Handbags 101″ class and everyone should get a ‘Louis.” I don’t really have to say much about these handbags because we all know they’re French and they’re awesome and so cute! But we do have to talk about how amazing they’re new 2018 designs are! OMGeeee!

I LOVE the new Petite Mall and the City Malle MM (both pictured below).  I’m so loving the square designs and that they resemble a small trunk.  So beautiful! I do have to mention thought that Petite Malle retails for the very hefty price of $5,200.00 and is completely SOLD OUT online!  The City Malle MM retails for $2,860.00.

 

 

PRADA

OK this next one is one that I have been eyeing since last year and I really LOVE it! Its the Prada Cahier bag.  Cahier, which is French for notebook because it’s design is inspired by the binding’s of antique notebooks.  This bag made it’s debut on the Fashion Week Runway in Fall of 2016 and EVERYONE started getting it in 2017! I’m not kidding you guys……this is seriously one of the prettiest bags I’ve ever seen and I hope to get my hands on one soon! Makes me giddy to even think about it!

The design is a beautiful square shaped and it comes is SO many different colors and designs.  You can find it in leather, velvet and embroidered.  In my opinion, this would make the perfect crossbody bag for your cute outfits! CHANEL

Next up, Of course the Chanel bag. We all need a black Chanel bag in our lives.  It’s just the classic designer handbag that everyone should have either in their closet or on their vision boards! Plus they’re so pretty. I’ve known of many grown women who have cried because of having received this bag as a gift!  I don’t know about you but I can just go to my local Neiman Marcus and just stare at them for hours! So many colors and styles and possibilities! Hahaha! Right now I’m also loving that I’m seeing the Chanel Deuville bag all over social media.  It comes in many colors and it’s so cute and versatile! I feel that it’s a perfect everyday bag. The type that you can literally just throw everything in there and not worry about ruining your black classic Chanel! The black one will TOTALLY be on my “want list” and hopefully I will see it in my closet in the near future!

CHLOE

I’m also loving the Chloe Pixie and Nile bags.  I feel these are also best as crossbody bags but they both have adjustable straps so they can be used as shoulder bags as well.  I love the creative shapes of both of these bags and the colors are just perfect! The Chloe Nile bag has been around for a while and it was big in 2017.  I’m not sure how long this trend will stick around but I feel that it’s currently still one of the prettiest most desirable designer handbags around!

 

DIOR

We can’t talk about designer handbag trends without talking about the Lady Dior handbag which has made a huge comeback this year! I love the history behind this bag! Did you know that this handbag (in black) was given to Princess Diana of Wales as a gift from France’s First Lady Bernadette Chirac in 1995 when Princess Di visited France? She was later photographed many times holding this bag so it has since been associated with her.  The Lady Dior bag is such a beautiful classic bag.  It comes in many color, and it’s just so classic! This bag is definitely a must have!

 

 

I think I can sum it up by saying these are probably the one’s I’ve been eyeing the most! I know I left out some important ones like Gucci, Givenchy, and YSL, but that’s just because those have been making a few appearances on my social media and youtube lately! I can dedicate a blog post to each of those handbags alone hahaha! But as my Pastor says, “that’s another sermon for another day.”
