Hey guys! It’s literally a few days until Summer and I’ll be honest, I’m worried about my bikini bod ya’ll. I’m at a point in my life where after having 5 kids, including 2 multiple pregnancies, my body basically could use a little TLC to make me look a little better! I do work out and try to eat as clean as possible but I realize that I need a little bit of extra help to get my body looking somewhat like before I had 5 kids! That’s why I decided to try Coolsculpting!
I’d only ever go with the best team in town so of course I went to Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery. They literally have the best team of experts to help you look and feel better. They offer everything from Botox, Fillers, PRP facial (also know as the vampire facial), among many other services.
Many of you who followed along on my Insta-stories had a few questions regarding my Coolscultping procedure, so here is my honest take on it all:
What is CoolSculpting?
It’s an effective and safe way to reduce excess fat. It is not a weight loss treatment. It’s more like a cosmetic treatment to remove that extra stubborn fat that does not come off with exercise or healthy eating. Basically your fat cells are frozen without there being any damage to the skin or underlying tissue. The procedure is noninvasive so that means there is no surgery, no cuts or anesthetic.
What happens during the procedure?
The team at Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery are very professional and make you feel so comfortable during the whole procedure.
During your Coolsculpting consultation you will have already discussed with the Team what areas you want to treat with Coolsculpting. The day you arrive the professionals at Lopez Plastic Surgery will first apply a clear gel pad to the area that will be treated. This creates a barrier between the cooling panel and your skin.
After this, they apply the Coolsculping applicator (its like a sort of vacuum) to the area in your body which will be treated. During this time you will feel a slight sucking sensation. After the applicator is on the area, you may begin to feel sensations of pulling, tugging, a little cold, tingling sensation on the treatment site. These sensations begin to decrease as soon as the area being treated becomes numb.
During the treatment which lasts about 30 minutes per treated area, you will be able to just chill, read, answer emails, or watch Netflix (this was my favorite part!)
Does it hurt?
Many of you asked me this question and I’ll be honest. During the actual treatment there is no pain. However, at the end, when the applicator is taken off of the area being treated, they give you a short massage which may hurt a little bit. But don’t worry because it lasts for only about 2 minutes and its actually very needed to break up the treated fat cells and enhance the fat reduction!
And that’s it! After that you can continue about your day as usual. Although I do have to confess that after my first treatment I went home and laid in bed and relaxed the rest of the day (which I something I NEVER do so that was a little extra treat for myself).
Will I see results right away?
The answer is no. The first few days you may be a bit swollen from the treatment but it goes away after about 2 weeks. So I’d suggest that you not plan on using a biking the day right after your Coolsculpting treatment. You will start to see the results of the procedure after about 2 months. Each Coolsculpting treatment reduces reduces up to 20-25% of fat cells in the treated area. So the team at Advanced Aesthetics Lopez Plastic Surgery suggests that Coolsculpting be done 2 – 3 times to get the desired results.
So far I’m working on what I like to call “Phase I” of my CoolSculpting treatment which means that I’ve treated 3 areas only once . I can’t wait to see what happens after my whole treatment is done! In the meantime, I’ll continue doing my part to try and stay away from Ice cream this Summer (which is gonna really hard for me)! Stay tuned on here and @mommalovesfashionblog so you can follow the rest of my Coolsculpting journey!
